CHARGE ‘AFFAIRES MEETS THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO) OF IRAN-UGANDA FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION & PAYMAN FABAR COMPANY

The Charge d’Affaires a.i. Mr. Oscar Edule yesterday Tuesday 26/11/2024 met Ms. Ghorbani Shabnam, the CEO of Iran-Uganda Friendship Association at Uganda Embassy, Tehran.

Ms. Ghorbani who is also the CEO of Payman Farbar, an Iranian Company specializing in the management and marketing of bitumen, urea and granular sulphur as well as food processing, energy and coffee imports into Iran.

Ms. Ghorbani paid a courtesy on the CDA to brief him about their planned business trip to Uganda as well as about the official inauguration of the Iran-Uganda Friendship Association. The Association that has been duly registered with the Ministry of Interior is aimed at promoting economic cooperation between Iran and Uganda.  

The CDA, Mr. Oscar Edule has been invited to make a keynote address on the occasion of the official inauguration of the Iran-Uganda Friendship Association on the 8th December 2024.

Ms. Ghorbani also informed the CDa that their company, Payman Farbar is in discussions to collaborate with another Iranian company to build a Data Center in Uganda in collaboration in collaboration with the Ministry of of ICT and National Guidance. 
The CEO revealed that the company is ready to provide Five Million Dollars ($5m) provided Uganda is ready with counterpart funding.  In addition, the company is also interested in waste management especially to produce energy and compost.
